UI/UX Designer

The Opportunity:

You will be responsible for taking product requirements and evangelizing best design practices to develop user flows, information architecture, wireframes, and UI. Your designs should consider the overall experience of defined personas and advocate for the end-user.

What you'll do:

• Participate in product feature brainstorm meetings
  
• Landscape research on UI/UX trends
  
• Collaborate closely with the design team to conceptualize designs and functionalities that are scalable
  
• Assist in reviewing user sessions and extrapolate key insights to optimize the product
  
• Develop user flows to clearly communicate high-level user objectives
  
• Develop wireframes as proof of concept
  
• Develop high-fidelity, pixel-perfect UI to provide to the development team
  
• Clearly present and articulate designs to the entire team; should be able to eloquently advocate for and defend design choices
  
• Collaborate with development to ensure designs are implemented correctly
  

What we're looking for:

• Previous UI/UX experience (1-3 yrs)
  
• Experience in designing for software
  
• Nimble and agile individual with a startup-mindset that can quickly shift gears between tasks
  
• Multi-disciplined designer that makes data-driven decisions
  
• Proficient in Sketch and knowledge of wireframing and prototyping tools
  
• General understanding of front-end development

Fullstack Engineer

Basic Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Mathematics
• Proficiency in a back-end language like PHP, Python, Node
• Proficiency in React, Javascript
• Language agnostic, product-focused engineers who can adapt
  
• Experience with HTTP APIs and RESTful web services
  
• Understanding of web browser APIs and behavior
  
• Excellent technical communication skills
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience contributing to open source projects
  
• Experience with automated testing, test-driven development and/or behavior-driven development
  
• Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
  
• Meticulous attention to detail
  
• Ability to multitask while ensuring high quality results
  
• Dedication to high standards of code quality and testing
  
• Passion for building rich and innovative user experience
  
• Demonstrable track record as an owner: someone who can take a concept and make it real
